How to win at craps?  That is the question every craps player wants to know.  There are no “sure fire” ways to win at craps as it is gambling.  And with all gambling games there is some chance involved.  But lets lay out a list of things the help you win at craps.

1) Don’t make crazy sized bets.  This might not be a tip on how to win at craps as much as a tip on how to NOT LOSE a ton on craps.  Know your bankroll and set up boundaries and bet sizes for all of your craps bets.  Don’t put all of your money at risk on one roll of the dice.  That is just foolish.  If you are making standard pass line bets followed up with an odds bet the casino edge is less than 1%.  That is very good odds for any gambling related game.  Grind it out and don’t chase if you go through some losses.

2) Know the craps rules.  To know how to win at craps you must know how to play craps.  We have a very nice article on Craps rules that you should read and understand before you jump into playing craps.

3) Bet with the confident shooter.  This may sound silly to you but I’ve seen it time and time again.  If the person rolling the dice at a craps table looks scared, they will most likely screw up and crap out.  If the shooter is confident and on a roll – bet the Pass Line with this shooter.

4) Use great strategies and systems.  This is probably our best tip on how to win at craps.  There are a number of great craps betting strategies and craps betting systems available.  Some of them take some time to learn but many of them have proven to be profitable over the years.  Find a system or strategy you like and stick to it.  Whether it be the “three numbers working system” or the “Golden Touch system” – find one you like and use it.  Read about some of our detailed craps systems and craps betting strategies when you are ready to really get serious about craps.

5) Ignore 90% of the bets on the table.  There are so many available bets on a craps table.  Such as Hardaways, One Roll Bets, Horn Bets and on and on.  DO NOT BET THESE.  These are mainly sucker bets and will cost you money in the long run.  Even the C-E circles are pretty worthless.  The “Field” and Big 6-8″ areas are not good bets either.  Stick to the basics and play the best odds.  Again, this isn’t necessarily how to win at craps but more how to avoid losing at craps.

6) Find a casino or an online craps table you are comfortable with.  You can’t learn how to win at craps without finding a great place to play.  If playing in a casino make sure you are ok with the pace of the table and the people at the table.  You don’t want distractions keeping you from executing your craps plan.  Likewise, if you are playing craps online be sure to check out several different online casinos and play at the one that feels the best.

None of these 6 items are sure fire tips on how to win at craps.  But combine these together and you are sure to become a winning craps player before you know it.
